Fiona at 12 months

My sister just went in for her 1 year doctor's appt and here is the stat update:

Height: 30 1/4 inches (75-90%)
Weight: 22 lbs 9.5 oz (75%)
Head: 48 cm (above 95%)

The interesting thing is that Fiona is now more or less the same weight that I was at 6 months of age. Wow! I was a big, strapping kid. Watch out NFL!

Few more Fiona party photos

Since the weather didn't cooperate much, we decided to eat at our neighborhood Zeek's pizza prior to the yummy cupcakes and presents at home:

Can I have my cupcake NOW?!!

Last Days of Summer

Fiona and I were blessed with a wonderfully warm and sunny summer this year. We made sure to spend lots of time outside playing - whether it was a park or our own backyard, we had lots of fun.

Fiona is a good sport when it comes to my "gentle" hugs.

Here I am plotting to steal a kiss.

Uncle Kevin, Aunt Katie, and cousin Nathan came to visit from Phoenix for a long weekend. One evening, we all went to the Everett Aquasox game (minor league). Amazingly, Dora the Explorer and Boots the Monkey were there, too.

Little Nathan sitting with Aunt Katie - he sure is a mellow, nice guy. Fiona and I are lucky to have him for a cousin!

This is a random photo of Fiona at a nearby Starbucks, waiting for mom to come back with goodies to share. She sure looks desperate for coffee.

Art Camp

The community center just up the hill from our house offered some mini-camps for kids my age this summer and my favorite one was Art Camp. We started off by painting fish various colors and then printing them onto either t-shirts or canvas bags:

After our first activity, we got to hang out and hear stories read by one of the older kids:

Snacktime revived our energy and helped us get ready for the next fun activity:

We all gathered outside to help paint a really neat house:

One of my favorite things was a lightbox table where I would stack different colored shapes:

Yesterday morning my mom brought me to see the doctor for my annual exam. Here are my current stats:

Height: 38 1/2 inches (75th percentile)
Weight: 36 lbs (75-90th percentile)

Later my dad brought me somewhere much more fun -- a Mariner's game!

Hip Hip Hooray - I'm 3 today!

Well, I'm not exactly 3 years old yet (my birthday is in three days), but don't tell anyone. We celebrated my "Red Balloon" birthday with all the family this weekend. What a fun time!

A proper party hat is a must!

Whoops! I should've paid more attention to what she told me. Thankfully Uncle Matt saved the day and rescued the airplane:
