An Addendum to the 9 Month Post

Today Fiona went in for her 9 month check-up and she "passed" with flying colors. What a healthy and happy little girl!

Her current stats:

Height/Length: 29 inches (90th percentile)
Weight: 19 lbs 13.5 oz (50 - 75%)
Head Circumference: 47 cm (great than 95%)

So, it appears that in the head size category, Fiona has caught up with Gabriel. Otherwise, she is a tallish, semi-slim munchkin.

Nine Happy Months with the Munchkin

Nine months ago today Fiona came into my life. So far she's been a pretty good sister, but her recent teething whining (two teeth popped out this week) is getting a little old. At least she thinks I'm cool - laughing and smiling whenever I come near her.

Parallel Play

Saturday morning at the playground with mom, dad, grandma and grandpa (the resident photographer):

I decided to ignore Fiona so that she didn't think she could eat my cookie:

Memorial Day Weekend

Grandma and Grandpa brought us to Remlinger Farms in Carnation over Memorial Day weekend. We went there for the first time last fall right after Fiona was born. I couldn't wait to go back.

I spent the first 1/2 hour playing on a bus near the pony rides. How fun! Grandma went on with me and watched me drive the car, sit in the various seats, wave out the back window, etc...

All of us aboard the train before it left the station:

I'm already an excellent driver. Here I am cruising down the road with Grandma and mom:

Last fall I loved riding the roller coaster, but this year after one ride, I decided to call it quits:

Mom and dad went on it - I wasn't very happy about that and had a nice tantrum:

Super-fun Weekend!

Whew! I'm tired from having a wonderful, sunny, super-fun weekend with my parents and Fiona. Saturday morning we went to visit Kelsey Creek Farm and saw a bunch animals like horses, cows, pigs, sheep and chickens.

Fiona must already be in the "horse phase" as she squealed whenever she saw the horses come near her:

The "chicken" dance:

Sunday afternoon we attended our local Norwegian Constitution Day parade in Ballard. It was an amazing collection of viking ships, Norwegian costumes, viking helmets, candy, marching bands, clowns, unicycles, dancers, horses, and tons of fun. Papa joined us 2 blocks from his office to see the parade go by:

Mother's Day

This year we got to celebrate Mother's Day twice - once on Saturday with nana and papa (of course, we forgot to take any pictures) and then on Sunday with grandma and grandpa.

We went with grandma and grandpa to one of our favorite restaurants in Ballard, Chinooks:

Hangin' loose during brunch - I learned this one while visiting Hawaii in March:

Time outs still happen while celebrating a holiday:

What a fun day to celebrate moms and grandmas!

Fiona's fashions

I could really care less about what I wear, but Fiona sure has a lot of cute clothes and recently picked up a new hat. Here she is while swinging with mom at a local park:

Easter Celebrations

This year for Easter we all got together at nana and papa's house for brunch with uncle Matt, grandma and grandpa and of course, my mom, dad and sister Fiona:

After brunch, I went with uncle Matt to the workout room to get rid of the extra pounds I'd gained during the meal:

Before Easter even arrived, my dad, sister, grandpa and I joined the rest of the kids at Trilogy to participate in an Easter-egg roll/toss and pancake breakfast:

iPhone

These days mom and dad are so busy with both Fiona and I that they don't take as many real photos as they used to. Here are a few from recent outings taken with dad's camera iPhone...

Fiona's first ride on the Woodland Park Zoo Carousel:

Measuring myself against the wall at Beachcomber Kids Cuts before my haircut. A year ago I hit the 35 inch mark:

Fully engrossed in watching a video and using my toy cell phone during the haircut:

Fiona grabbing a slice of pizza and a pint at a local family friendly spot here in Ballard, Snoose Junction. They even have a train table in the corner for kids my age:

Hitting a favorite dessert spot after pizza, Cupcake Royale. Dad and I split the cupcake while mom indulged in a smaller "babycake":
