Aloha! Oahu 2011

We had a great time on Oahu this year, staying with nana and papa at Ko Olina for a week. The weather was fantastic and consistently warm. A great change from the dreary Pacific NW.

Waiting to board the plane:

Finally!  On the beach and loving it.

Very busy at the beach:

Having dessert at our favorite spot in the islands, Yogurtland:

I decided that dipping my toes in the water wasn't quite good enough with such terrific waves crashing on the shore:

Cooling off at the pool with our favorite shaved ice.  We are very serious about this stuff:

Valentine's Day

I had a terrific party at preschool to celebrate Valentine's Day.  Fiona and mom got to come and join me while I opened my "heart" filled with valentines and treats.

Here I am with Teacher Ayu, dressed as a love bug.

And with Teacher Deb & Fiona

Feeling the love!

Fiona was able to indulge in a special Valentine donut from Krispy Kreme

All the sugar put her in a silly mood!

Mommy's special valentine tulips from daddy (he picked them up at Pike Place Market earlier that day)

What a Gathering

We recently went to a party for mom and dad's friend Heather who is moving to Africa.  There were tons of kids to play with (the hosts have a bouncy house in their playroom), lots of good food, and quite a trip down memory lane for my parents.

Fiona insisted on wearing her princess costume for the occasion:

More Pre & Post Christmas Photos!

We visited the Seattle Children's Museum one morning, following it up with a trip on the Monorail from the Seattle Center to downtown Seattle for a ride on the holiday carousel.  Woo-hoo! We should all commute by monorail.

We also trekked to the Bellevue Botanical Gardens for the fantastic light displays in the Garden d'lights.  Our favorite was the waterfall garden.  What a fun night!

I woke up one Saturday morning with a case of walking pneumonia so I had to miss the fun Christmas party held at grandma and grandpa's community clubhouse.  Daddy and Fiona were able to take part in the festivities and far from being scared of the entertaining elf, Fiona really got into the action.
